Kathryn Rutherford, owner of the Heirloom Art Studio, is a highly trained, award-winning fine artist who excels in the creation of original oil, watercolour and digital paintings and portraits. She is internationally recognized as an award winning master of photographic conservation and restoration. As a restoration artisan of original photographs and classically trained using historic photographic processes and restoration methods, Kathryn's research often leads her to develop unique processes and equipment to accomplish a restoration goal. Many of the restoration methods and equipment Kathryn uses at the Heirloom Art Studio are time tested or historic and produce one of a kind results. Some methods come from historic books and research. Others are developed by Kathryn, herself, and known only to her. These special photographic processes have gained her many awards and recognition from prestigious and world reknown companies and associations.
